Story of the game: The battle for the throne continues on Saturday evening as Budućnost VOLI are about to host Crvena zvezda mts in Podgorica in Game 3 of the 2021 ABA League Finals.

Crvena zvezda mts have defended the home court in the opening two games and the red-and-whites lead by 2-0 in this series. It means that the Belgrade side needs just one more win to claim the title. On the other side, Budućnost VOLI need to win the upcoming match in order to stay in the title race as another defeat would mean losing the battle.

Budućnost VOLI will play the next game at home court and that should be a significant advantage for the blue-and-whites, especially if we consider the previous games between these two teams that were played in Sports Center Morača. Budućnost VOLI have won 18 out of the 22 games that they played against Crvena zvezda mts at home court. The Belgrade troops scored their last win in Podgorica three years ago, while they have never defeated Budućnost VOLI in Podgorica in ABA League Playoffs.

Everyone agrees that the opening two games of the 2021 ABA League Finals were simply spectacular. Budućnost VOLI and Crvena zvezda mts have presented some top-class basketball, while on top of that they showed a great example of fair play down on the court. Therefore, we can hardly wait for Game 3 to start as we have no doubt that Budućnost VOLI and Crvena zvezda mts will bring us another thrilling game in which the whole basketball world will enjoy in.

Match-up in focus: Danilo Nikolić (Budućnost VOLI) vs. Ognjen Dobrić (Crvena zvezda mts).

These two players marked the previous game in this series. Danilo Nikolić scored his ABA League career-high 26 points in that match, including 6 three-pointers out of 7 attempts. At the same time, Ognjen Dobrić scored his ABA League career-high 27 points, including the clutch 3-pointer that pushed his team toward the win.

We are about to see whether these two sharp shooters will manage to repeat that performance on Saturday evening.

Head to head in the regional league: In total 23:25; In Podgorica 18:4.
