Domestic Leagues: Zadar win first championship trophy since 2008

In the decisive Game 5 of the Croatian National Championship Finals, Zadar have outplayed Split and won their third Croatian National Championship trophy.

This is the first domestic championship trophy for the Dalmatian side since 2008, after they won their very first one in 2005. The team, that also have one regional league trophy in their cupboards, have won the game convincingly, with no less than 27 points of margin in Game 5 and thus won the title of the best team in their country fully deservedly.

Zadar have started the game powerfully, leading by 8 points already after the opening quarter and then increased their lead to 20 points by the big break. In the second half they cruised to the win with the final score of 84:57. 

For Zadar, Antonio Jordano led the way in scoring with 22 points on his record, while Chinanu Onuaku added 19. For Split, Roko Leni Ukić had 18 points and Marko Luković 9.
