Serbia open the Belgrade’s OQT with a big win vs. Dominican Republic

Serbia have triumphed against Dominican Republic in Round 1 of the group stage at the Belgrade’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Serbia have triumphed against Dominican Republic by 94:76 in Round 1 of the group stage at the Belgrade’s Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

Although the final score suggest that this was a comfortable win for the home side, the game itself was actually very close for 30 minutes as Serbia were up by just 1 point at the end of the 3rd quarter – 67:66. Still, that is the moment when the boys coached by Igor Kokoškov turned on the team's engines. Serbia absolutely dominated the court in the final 10 minutes, scoring 27 points in the process, while at the same time they let Dominican Republic to make just 10 points in the last period.

Serbia will face Philippines on Wednesday evening in Round 2 of the group stage, while if they win that match they will definitely seal their place in the tournament semi-finals.
