Olympic Qualifiers: Triumphs for Croatia and Slovenia

On Thursday, Croatia and Slovenia have grabbed victories at their Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, by beating Tunisia and Poland, respectively.

After having outplayed Angola a day before in their first game of the Kaunas Olympic Qualifying Tournament, Slovenia have done the same against Poland. Everything was clear by halftime, when the squad, led by head coach Aleksander Sekulić have been up by 17 points, while scoring no less than 63 points by the big break. In the second half, they have calmly cruised towards the win with the final score of 112:77. For Slovenia Luka Dončić led the way in scoring with 18 points, while Klemen Prepelič added 17.

At home at the Split Olympic Qualifying Tournament, Croatia have prevailed over Tunisia, but only after a thrilling finish of the game. The game could go either way in the end, but the hosts of the tournament were more focused and grabbed the win with the final score of 75:70. For Croatia, Mario Hezonja was the most efficient in scoring with 27 points on his record. Bojan Bogdanović and Ante Žižić added 14 each.
