Partizan NIS make another big signing as they pen a 2-year deal with Rodions Kurucs

The black-and-whites are not stopping with their big transfers. Partizan NIS have just announced that they have signed a 2-year deal with 23-year-old forward Rodions Kurucs.

This Latvian international started his pro career in VEF Riga for which he played from 2012 to 2015. Kurucs then moved to Barcelona where he stayed for three years (2015-2018), while he was then selected by the Brooklyn Nets in the second round (40th overall) of the 2018 NBA Draft.

Rodions Kurucs spent two years in the Brooklyn Nets, while in the previous season he had short stints with the Houston Rockets and the Milwaukee Bucks. He has played a total number of 131 games in the NBA and averaged 6 points and 3,1 rebounds.

Recall that Partizan NIS have so far acquired four new players this offseason, including Kevin Punter, Aleksa Avramović, Zach Leday and Rodions Kurucs.

Novi košarkaš Parnog valjka, započeo je karijeru u Rigi, odakle je 2015. godine prešao u Barselonu, sa kojom je osvojio Kup Kralja i nastupao u Evroligi. U leto 2018. godine, Kuruks je izabran kao 40. pik na draftu od strane Bruklin Netsa. U timu Bruklina, Kuruks je igrao 2 sezone, da bi potom u okviru NBA razmene igrača kratko boravio u Hjuston Rokitsima i na posletku, Milvoki Baksima.

Na ukupno 131 utakmici u najjačoj ligi na svetu, Rodions Kuruks je u proseku igrao 16 minuta po meču, uz učinak od 6 poena i 3,1 skoka.
