Jurij Macura is moving to Novo mesto
Under both rims, at the power forward position, the Novo mesto squad will have a national team duo, composed of Jan Kosi and Jurij Macura. While 24-year old Jan Kosi has had a successful first season in their jersey, the Dolenjska squad now welcomes 21-year old Jurij Macura to their roster.

“I am delighted that we have reached an agreement with Krka. I am thirsty of playing games and proving myself. I believe that the whole team cannot wait for the season to begin. I believe, that we would have a strong support from the stands from our supporters and fans. We will do our best in order to warrant the trust,” Jurij Macura told upon arrival to Krka.
Jurij Macura is a Slovenia national team member. He was born in Ljubljana and between 2016 and 2021 he used to be a member of EuroLeague side Saski Baskonia. He tested his skills in the ABA League as well, as he has worn jerseys of Mega Basket, Koper Primorska and FMP. In the second part of the previous season, he has been averaging 5.4 points and 3.1 rebounds per game in the ABA League, but his especially shiny moments came in the first part of the season, when he used to be a member of Koper squad.
Macura has collected four appearances for the Slovenia National Team so far and made his debut in the 2019 World Cup Qualifiers.

Jurij Macura se seli v Novo mesto
Pod košem, na poziciji krilnega centra, bodo imeli letos v novomeškem klubu reprezentančni dvojec, ki ga bosta sestavljala Jan Kosi in Jurij Macura. Medtem ko je za 24-letnim Janom Kosijem že prva uspešna sezona v njihovem dresu, pa v dolenjski sredini pozdravljajo 21-letnega Jurija Macuro.
„Vesel sem, ker smo se s Krko dogovorili za sodelovanje. Lačen sem tekem in dokazovanja. Verjamem pa, da tako kot cela ekipa komaj čakam, da se sezona začne. Verjamem, da bomo imeli močno podporo s tribun naših podpornikov in navijačev. Potrudili se bomo po najboljših močeh, da upravičimo zaupanje,“ je povedal Jurij Macura ob prihodu v Krko.
Jurij Macura (211 cm, 1999) je slovenski reprezentant. Rojen je bil v Ljubljani, med letoma 2016 in 2021 pa je bil član evroligaškega kluba Saski Baskonia. Vmes se je kalil in razvijal v Ligi ABA, kjer je nosil dres Mege Basket, Koper Primorske in FMP-ja. V 2. delu minule sezone je v dresu beogajskega FMP-ja beležil po 5.4 točke in 3.1 skoka na tekmo, navdušil pa je v prvem delu sezone, ko je bil član primorskega ligaša.
V članski reprezentanci Slovenije je zbral štiri nastope, debitiral je v kvalifikacijah za svetovno prvenstvo 2019. na Kitajskem.
