Olympics: Slovenia reached the Semi-finals

In the Quarter-finals of the Tokyo Olympic Basketball Tournament, Slovenia have prevailed over Germany and qualified for the Semi-finals.

After four games played at the Olympic Basketball Tournament, Slovenia are still without a single scratch suffered. After previously having beaten World vice-champions Argentina, World champions Spain and the tournament hosts Japan, the squad, led from the bench by head coach Aleksander Sekulić have topped Germany in the Quarter-finals to advance to the Semis.

The Slovenian side have been up by 11 points already after the first quarter and afterwards did not have any major problems protecting their advantage, all until their win in the end with the final score of 94:70.

For Slovenia former Krka player Zoran Dragić led the way in scoring with 27 points, while former Cedevita Olimpija player Luka Dončić added 20.

In the Semi-finals, Slovenia will face the winner of the clash between Italy and France.
