Preseason: Victories for Studentski centar and Igokea

In the clash of the Podgorica city rivals, Budućnost VOLI have hosted Studentski centar and suffered a defeat by the ABA League newcomers. After Budućnost were ahead by 7 points at the big break, the Students fought back in the second half, turned the game completely upside-down and got away with an 85:80 win. For Budućnost VOLI, Justin Cobbs and Petar Popović put in 15 points, while for Studentski centar Fletcher Magee topped the list of scorers with 18 points, while Justin Edwards had 13.

Cedevita Olimpija have faced Oldenburg in their first preseason game and after a game, that could have gone either way, the teams have left the court with a tie – a 83:83 final score. For the squad of Ljubljana, Melvin Ejim led the way in scoring with 16 points. He was followed by Jacob Pullen and Žiga Dimec which added 11 points apiece.

Mega Basket have been hosting CS Universitatea Cluj-Napoca at home in Ranko Žeravica Sports Hall in Belgrade and suffered a defeat by the Romanian side, which have prevailed in the end thanks to their excellent second quarter, when they have been better by 11 points. In the end, the score has been 79:70 in favour of Cluj. For the hosts, Boriša Simanić had 14 points and Scoochie Smith 13.

Krka have faced Alba Fehervar and after a close game – the teams were only separated by 2 points, heading into the final quarter, the Hungarian side prevailed in the end with the final score of 77:68. For Krka, Rok Stipčević topped the list of scorers with 19 points, while Hasahn French and and T.J Gibbs added 16 apiece to the team’s scoreboard.

Igokea have faced Čelik in a preseason game in Laktaši without audience. They have beaten the Zenica squad convincingly, with the score of 72:56. Marko Jošilo was the most efficient at the side of Igokea with 14 points. DeShawn Stephens scored 11.
