Novica Veličković has officially retired from basketball, while his last game for the black-and-whites was quite special as Partizan NIS defeated the reigning European champions Anadolu Efes in a friendly game played in Belgrade – 92:85.

Thousands of Partizan NIS fans came to Belgrade Arena this September 16, 2021 to thank the legendary captain Novica Veličković for everything he has done for the black-and-whites, while this was also a nice opportunity for the fans to show big support to the current Partizan NIS team ahead of the start of the new season.

What is interesting to mention about this game is that Partizan NIS top scorer this evening was Rade Zagorac who took over the captain’s role from Novica Veličković this summer. Zagorac scored 15 points, while two newcomers Zach LeDay and Yam Madar made 14 points each.

Mega Basket have scored quite a convincing win in a prep match against ABA 2 side Podgorica - 93:43. Mega's troops put on an impressive defensive performance as they conceded just 43 points for the entire game. At the same time, their offense worked quite good, while their top scorer tonight was Boriša Simanić with 19 points.
