Game recap: Budućnost VOLI have started the new AdmiralBet ABA League season with a home win as they defeated FMP in Podgorica. The home side will certainly be very satisfied with the outcome of this match, but we should mention that despite winning the game by a double-digit margin this was not just a walk in the park for the blue-and-whites as they had to work very hard in the 4^th quarter to prevail over the visiting side. 

Eventually, Budućnost VOLI made the key 8:0 run in the last three-and-a-half minutes to grab a precious win at the start of their 2021/22 journey.

Key moments: When Garrett Nevels made a 2-pointer to reduce Budućnost VOLI’s lead to just 2 points – 74:72, with just three-and-a-half minutes left on the game clock, everyone expected that we would watch a thrilling ending of this match. However, Budućnost VOLI summer signing D.J. Seeley had different plans. After Petar Popović made a 2-pointer for the home team to increase his team’s lead to 76:72, it was D.J. Seeley who scored 6 consecutive points to seal the win for Budućnost VOLI – 82:72.

Man of the match: Dennis Jerome Seeley had a dream debut for Budućnost VOLI. He scored 13 points, made 6 rebounds and 4 steals, while his points in the key moments of this game have decided the winner.

Can’t trick the stats: FMP played a very good game and they were very close to stun the last year’s AdmiralBet ABA League finalists on the road. However, the visitors stayed out of fuel when they needed it the most. The Panthers did not score a single point in the last three-and-a-half minutes of this match and therefore they stayed without chances of taking the win.
