Unfortunately, Mornar-Barsko zlato opened the new FIBA Europe Cup season with a road defeat vs. Turkish side Bahcesehir College.
The Bar troops had a slow start and they were trailing by 12 already after the opening quarter. In the rest of the match, Mornar-Barsko zlato played much better, however they missed their chance in the final moments of the game to perhaps complete a major comeback.
At the score of 70:66 for Bahcesehir College and with just 30 seconds left on the game clock, Mornar’s top scorer in tonight’s game Vladimir Mihailović missed a 3-pointer that would have melted the gap to just a single point.
In the 2nd round of the 2021/22 FIBA Europe Cup regular season, Mornar will play against ZZ Leiden at home next week.
