The new season of NLB Wheel League starts this weekend

The 14th season of the NLB Wheel regional basketball league will start this weekend with the tournament in Belgrade.

The 2021/22 season will consist of 5 tournaments. The first one will be played in Belgrade on November 20, while the other 4 will be played in Zadar (December 19, 2021), Podgorica (March 5, 2022), Zagreb (April 10, 2022) and in Slovenia (May 14. 2022).

A total number of 5 teams will participate in the 2021/22 NLB Wheel league, including KKK Singidunum Crvena zvezda, KKOI Zadar, KKI Zagreb, KK OSI Paramont and Parasport Slovenia.

The team that collects the most number of points in 5 tournaments will be crowned as the new champion.

“The NLB Wheel League, with the support of the general sponsor of the NLB Bank, is starting its 14th competitive season, which will begin on 20 November 2021 in Belgrade. Despite the difficult times of the COVID situation, we managed keep the same format as in the previous 13 years and I am convinced that another excellent season of the NLB Wheel League is ahead of us. Together with the hosts of each tournament, we primarily took care of the safety of all participants, and all tournaments will be played in accordance with the recommendations and instructions of the competent institutions in each country. Every season is a challenge, but from the athlete's point of view, it is essential that the competition takes place. it is essential that we play the game", said league Director Gregor Gračner.
