U19 ABA League Championship 2021/22, Regular Season, Friday, 26.11.2021: 

Group A:

U19 Borac - U19 MEGA MOZZART 52:73 (12:20, 10:18, 18:26, 12:9) LIVE STATS | PHOTO GALLERY | VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

U19 Mega Mozzart have scored another convincing win in this year's U19 ABA League championship as they prevailed over U19 Borac in Round 2 of the regular season. The reigning champions now have the overall score of 2-0 and they are marching toward the final tournament.

At the same time, this was the 1st defeat for U19 Borac in the regular season and they now have the overall score of 1-1.

Mega Mozzart’s rising star Andrija Grbović was the MVP of the game as he put up double-double performance with 20 points and 10 rebounds. In Borac team, Đorđe M. Ćurčić made 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

After losing the first game at the tournament, U19 Cedevita Olimpija have bounced back on their feet as they triumphed in the match against U19 Cibona.

This game was marked by 17-year-old Cedevita Olimpija player Saša Ciani who scored 26 points and grabbed no less than 19 rebounds! Ciani was just unstoppable down in the paint and his sensational performance helped the Dragons pick up their first win in the U19 ABA League Championship 2021/22.

Also, we should mention the performance of another Cedevita Olimpija player Andrija Jelavić who finished the match with 20 points and 9 rebounds.

On the other side, Vito Vujović was the top scorer of U19 Cibona with 18 points.

What a thrilling game in Bar, where the undefeated U19 Spars have taken on U19 Borac, that have suffered their first defeat of the tournament earlier in the day! Many have thought that Spars might continue their unbeaten run, but Borac had other plans and after a thrilling finish and a last-quarter comeback, they have managed to turn the game upside-down in the last quarter and turn their 3-point deficit after 30 minutes into a 86:81 win.

Đorđe Ćurčić V. was the one that has been the key to the Čačak squad win this time, as he had 25 points, alongside 5 rebounds, 9 assists, 1 steal and a valuation of 34.

U19 Cibona have grabbed their first triumph of the 2021/22 U19 ABA League Championship, as they have edged out the hosts of the Group A tournament in Topolica Sports Hall in Bar – U19 Mornar-Barsko zlato.

The squad of Zagreb did the majority of their job in the opening quarter, when they have created themselves a 15-point advantage in the opening 10 minutes and later in the game, even though U19 Mornar-Barsko zlato pushed back, and made it almost completely anybody’s game, they just did not manage to turn the game completely upside down. U19 Cibona celebrated with the score of 84:82.

There have been monster performances on both sides. While Vito Vujović led U19 Cibona to the win with a double double (24 points and 11 rebounds), U19 Mornar-Barsko zlato have seen standout performances by Danilo Lacmanović (36 points and 12 rebounds), while Stefan Vukčević had 22 points and no less than 15 rebounds.
 

Group B:

U19 Igokea scored their 2nd win in the U19 ABA League Championship 2021/22 as they defeated U19 Krka in a very exciting game in which two teams scored 194 points combined – 102:92.

This game will stay remembered by absolutely fantastic performance of two players, one from each side.

Amsal Delalić led U19 Igokea toward the win by scoring 24 points, while he was so close of achieving a triple-double as he made 10 rebounds and 8 assists. His overall index rating in this game was 42.

On the other side, U19 Krka’s best player today was Rok Zaman who scored 32 points and made 11 rebounds, while his overall index rating was 43.

These two boys might be new rising stars of the regional league.

U19 SC Derby have remained undefeated in this season’s U19 ABA League Championship as they outplayed U19 Zadar in Round 2 of the regular season.

The Podgorica side only had problems in the 1st quarter after which they were down by 3 points, but after that they increased the pace and started dominating the court. U19 SC Derby have escaped on a double-digit lead already by halftime – 42:32, while they went on to increase the gap to 20+ points in the 3rd quarter.

The Ivišić brothers were leading U19 SC Derby troops toward the win. Zvonimir Ivišić scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, while Tomislav Ivišić made 11 points and 11 rebounds.

On the other side, Antonio Sikirić and Ante Beljan scored 14 points each for U19 Zadar.

U19 PARTIZAN NIS - U19 Krka 73:62 (15:20, 21:8, 19:22, 18:12) STATS | PHOTO GALLERY | VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS

U19 Partizan NIS have grabbed their first win of their 2021/22 U19 ABA League Championship campaign, as they have beaten U19 Krka in their third test of the Laktaši tournament.

The Novo mesto squad were the ones to start the game on a better note, winning the first quarter by 5 points, but then the black and white took control of the game in the second quarter and were ahead by 8 points at the big break. Just as it seemed after 3 quarters, that we wold be heading into the thrilling finish, as the teams were still separated by only 5 points, U19 Partizan NIS got up again and created themselves a double-digit lead midway through the period. In the end, they have celebrated a 73:62 win.

In a local derby in Laktaši Sports Hall, two Dalmatian squads have met and it have been the side of U19 Zadar that have prevailed over U19 Split, earned themselves the first win of their 2021/22 U19 ABA League Championship campaign and tied themselves in the standings with U19 Split, U19 Krka and U19 Partizan NIS, all of which have grabbed one win so far in the opening three rounds.

U19 Zadar have pulled away early in the game, leadin by 11 points after the opening quarter. In the second one they have even managed to increase their lead, but Split cut the gap to 9 points by halftime and… in the third quarter turned the game completely-upside down and they were ahead by 3 points before the final quarter.

However, U19 Zadar fought back and once more, turned the game around. In a thrilling finish, they have prevailed with the final score of 72:69. For the winning side, Krševan Klarica shined with 20 points and 14 rebounds on his record.
