Game recap: In the eleventh round of the AdmiralBet ABA League season, Budućnost VOLI have prevailed over Cibona on the road in Zagreb. It has been a game, where the blue and white of Podgorica have been controlling the game’s flow throughout the playing time and have in the end deservedly grabbed the win. For Budućnost VOLI, this is the 8th win of the season and they are now on an 8:3 record after 11 rounds, placed in the fourth place. On the other side, Cibona continue in the middle of the standings with a 5:6 record after 11 rounds.

Key moments: Cibona have been in front for the last time with 3 minutes left in the first quarter, as they were ahead 14:13. A 12:2 run followed by Budućnost VOLI over the next five minutes, that put them ahead by 9 points (16:25). As it turned out later, this has been crucial for the later development of the game, as the hosts did not manage to threaten to take the visiting side’s lead away again until the very end of the clash.

Man of the match: Willie Reed had a great performance for Budućnost VOLI this time around, as he led the Podgorica squad to the win with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 block and a valuation of 21. He is our man of the match.

Can’t trick the stats: The two squads have been almost identical in every important statistically category. It seems like you sometimes can trick the stats after all!
