Justin Cobbs has proven, throughout the month of December, his dominance on the AdmiralBet ABA League courts wherever he has appeared and besides the fact that he finished the month near the very top of the statistical category of valuation, he deserved himself the award with his contribution to the team's success – Budućnost VOLI have won all four games during the month of December, which keeps their odds in the Playoffs race looking good.

The excellent big man in the ranks of the Podgorica squad averaged 16.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, 5.7 assists, 1 steal and a valuation of 22.7 during the games of Budućnost VOLI, which puts him in the second place in the rankings in valuation and points scored for the month of December.

“The secret? Just approach every game with focus & mindset to play at a high level regardless of result,” Justin Cobbs told about the secrets of his excellent performances lately in the AdmiralBet ABA League. He was not as clear when it came to the goals of his team this season. Can they go as far as in the previous seasons when they used to play regional league finals many times in a row? “I don’t look at that far ahead. As a team we have faced so much adversity with injuries and other things out of our control. It’s just important to not get comfortable and to keep working.”

It comes as no surprise that the Morača squad are playing well this season, following the comeback of the beloved coach Aleksandar Džikić, who took the blue and white to the AdmiralBet ABA League throne back in 2018. What is he like as a head coach? “Very stragetic coach. Very detailed. But gives you freedom to be yourself. Relationship is good and I have been blessed over the years to have many coaches, that let me play through mistakes and try to help me grow as a player. He is another one of those coaches,” Cobbs says.

How about the league itself and its quality this season? “Every year it’s getting better and better. There are more young talent and better imports. So yes, I’d say it’s better this year than it’s been before.”

Cobbs also believes that the region of the ABA League countries is special in Europe and the World in terms of the production of the basketball talent: “I think this region is special with the kind of players and basketball this region produces. The mindset and approach to the game isn’t something I had seen before coming here. So, I understand why every year things improve.”
