EC: Defeats for Budućnost VOLI and Cedevita Olimpija

Cedevita Olimpija have been defeated at home in Stožice Arena by Gran Canaria, after a slow start of the game, as the visiting side went up by no less than 16 points already in the opening quarter (7:23). In the reminder of the game, the Dragons did all they could in order to return into the battle for a win, but failed to do so. The final score was 75:60 in favour of Gran Canaria. For Cedevita Olimpija, Yogi Ferrell was atop of the scorers’ list, with 11 points on his record. Jaka Blažič added 10 to follow him.

Budućnost VOLI have suffered a home defeat by ratiopharm Ulm, their third defeat so far in EuroCup in 10 games played. The visiting side have started the game all fired up and led by 15 points (15:30) already after the opening quarter, which enabled them to cruise calmly towards the win with the final score of 89:68 in the remainder of the game. For Budućnost VOLI Justin Cobbs scored 17 points, while he has been followed by Petar Popović, who added 16.

A day before, Partizan NIS have rolled over Hamburg Towers at home in Belgrade, beating the German side 102:77.
