Willie Reed has proven, throughout the month of January, his dominance on the AdmiralBet ABA League courts wherever he has appeared and besides the fact that he finished the month near the very top of the statistical category of valuation, he deserved himself the award with his contribution to the team's success – Budućnost VOLI have won both games during the month of January, which keeps their odds in the Playoffs race looking good.

The excellent big man in the ranks of the Podgorica squad averaged 14.5 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block and a valuation of 19.5 during the games of Budućnost VOLI, which puts him in the seventh place in the rankings in valuation and points scored for the month of January.

For Willie Reed, winning this award is a very important recognition. “I am thankful and honoured to have won this award. There are lots of guys who could have won, so thanks for choosing me. I think it’s a combination of the consistent work I put in to get better as well as my teammates that out me in the position to succeed. Thankful I can accept this award not only for myself but the blue and white fans, the club, and most importantly my family, especially my Wife Jasmine Reed,” he told.

The big man is also aware of the fact that his team has been playing well lately and that they are in a position to challenge the greatest goals possible for this season: “The team has been playing well. The goal every year is to win the championship. We know we still have a long way to go, but we are in a great position and look forward to the challenges that await us.”

Willie has become quite famous for his alley-oop action this season. What is his secret? “There is no secret. It’s just timing. We practice as a team those passes as well as communicating with each other. I’m glad the fans enjoy the dunks. There is a reason I’m called Showtime (laughs).”

What about the AdmiralBet ABA League? Reed has been playing here for his second season in a row. How does he see basketball in the regional competition as a foreign player? “This League is very physical. I like that personally. That is my game. Aggression and physicality. There is also a lot of young talented players, which I respect the development aspect of. I really like the league and I’m Thankful that Budućnost VOLI have me as a part of their blue and white family.”
