ZADAR – FMP MERIDIAN

Where? Jazine Sports Hall

When? 17:00

Story of the game: In the opening game of the Sunday’s AdmiralBet ABA League schedule, Zadar will be hosting FMP Meridian at home in Jazine Sports Hall.

It is a game that will be of huge importance to both sides in their battle to stand up following the recent defeats and to get closer to reaching their objectives this season. Zadar have been playing well lately, winning 3 games out of their last 5, but they have been defeated in Round 18 in Čačak. Now they are placed in the 12th place in the standings with the record of 5:11 and they need to win in order to move away from the danger zone near the bottom of the standings.

On the other side, FMP Meridian are currently still looking good in their Playoffs race, as they are on the fifth spot, with a 10:5 record, but they have lost their last 3 games and need to win in order to strengthen their position in the Playoffs Zone.

When the two sides have met in Zadar in the past in the regional competition, it have been Zadar, that have been slightly more successful. They won 8 out of 14 games. However, the first time that the two sides have met this season, FMP Meridian prevailed in Belgrade – 83:76.

How will it be this time?

Match-up in focus: It will be an amazing clash between two excellent American guards, that are amongst the undisputed leaders of their respective teams. Zadar’s top scorer Justin Carter (14.9 points per game), faces FMP Meridian’s second-leading scorer Garrett Nevels (14.4 points per game). What a match-up!

Head to head in the regional league: in total 10:18; In Zadar 8:6.
