World Cup Qualifiers: Huge win for Montenegro

Montenegro seized a huge win in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers as they defeated Hungary on the road. North Macedonia and Bosnia & Herzegovina suffered defeats.

Montenegro seized a huge win in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers as they defeated Hungary on the road. This was the 2nd win for Montenegro (2-1) in the ongoing qualifiers and they currently hold the 2nd place in Group E with one win less than group leaders France (3-0).

Bosnia and Herzegovina were so close to stun Lithuania at home court, however they eventually suffered a narrow defeat in a thrilling ending. The key moment happened just 15 seconds before the end of the game when Osvaldas Olisevicius scored a huge 3-pointer for Lithuania to give a 5-point lead to his team – 77:72. This was the 1st defeat for Bosnia and Herzegovina in the ongoing qualifiers and they now have the overall score of 2-1, while Lithuania remained the only undefeated team in Group F with the overall score of 3-0.

North Macedonia suffered a heavy defeat against Georgia on the road and have therefore remained winless in the ongoing qualifiers. North Macedonia have lost all three games so far in Group G.
