Amar Gegić has proven, throughout the month of February, his dominance on the AdmiralBet ABA League courts wherever he has appeared and besides the fact that he finished the month near the very top of the statistical category of valuation, he deserved himself the award with his contribution to the team's success – Cibona have won both games during the month of February, which keeps their hopes of reaching the Playoffs alive.

The forward in the ranks of the Zagreb squad averaged 23 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5 assists and a valuation of 27 during the games of Cibona, which puts him in the first place in scoring and second place in the rankings in valuation for the month of February.

And what does the NLB MVP of February believe to be his secret when it comes to great performances? “I devote a lot of time to myself. I practice well, get enough rest and take care of my diet. I believe that this is the key for every player. Besides that, I am slowly becoming an experienced player and this is visible on the court.”

“The team is the one that pushes me higher. Without teammates I could not have done anything. By changing the head coach we have got a positive shock, that we lacked and the quality of the team became visible again. It is a young and talented squad, thirsty of winning and proving itself,” Gegić told.

What about his role under the guidance of new head coach Gašper Okorn? “Not much has changed with the arrival of new head coach in this regard, so my role stays basically the same. The team enjoys the way we are playing as a team, the way we are getting ever better and we keep improving both as a team and as individuals,” the Cibona team leader believes.

Gegić added for the end, that the Zagreb squad are still hoping of reaching the 2021/22 AdmiralBet ABA League Playoffs: “We are a young team thirsty of winning and grabbing trophies, so we believe that we can enter the Top Six. Unfortunately, we got ourselves into the position such that not everything depends on ourselves and we need to win a couple of tough games now in order to do so. We hope that results of other games would be favourable to us and if that happens, we can reach the Playoffs.”
