EL: Zvezda seize another big win as they down Baskonia

Crvena zvezda mts prevailed over Bitci Baskonia in Belgrade in Round 28 of the 2021/22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season.

The red-and-whites had a slow start as they let their opponents escape on a double-digit lead quite early in the game. Bitci Baskonia scored 26 points only in the 1^st  quarter and the visitors had a 13-point lead after the opening 10 minutes – 26:13. But, that is the moment when Crvena zvezda mts started actually playing this game.

The Belgrade giant have tied the score already by halftime – 41:41, while they opened the 2^nd half with a 9:0 run to take over the lead – 50:41.

Bitci Baskonia managed to bounce back and to even regain the lead already by the end of the 3^rd quarter – 56:55. But, Zvezda had enough strength to make the final push in the last 10-minute period. Led by Luka Mitrović (18 pts) and Nathan Wolters (17 pts), the red-and-whites prevailed in a thrilling finish and seized a very valuable win which keeps them in the Playoffs race.
