EL: Crvena zvezda mts suffer road defeat against Barcelona

The 4-game winning streak of Crvena zvezda mts in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague has come to an end this week as the red-and-whites were defeated by league leaders FC Barcelona on the road.
Crvena zvezda mts were down by 15 points already at halftime, but the Belgrade team played the 2nd half much better and they even managed to reduce the gap to just 7 points – 73:66, with 5 minutes left to be played. However, FC Barcelona star player Dante Exum then made some big points for the hosts, therefore keeping his team at the safe distance from Zvezda in key moments.
Crvena zvezda mts did lose this game, but they can certainly be satisfied with the way the played against one of the best teams in Europe, especially if we take into concern that the Belgrade team were without Austin Hollins who had to skip this away day due to injury.
The Belgrade team is still in the race for the Playoffs, while In the next round they will play against Alba Berlin on the road.
