AdmiralBet ABA League Round 24, Sunday, 27 March 2022:

CEDEVITA OLIMPIJA – PARTIZAN NIS

Where? Tivoli Sports Hall, Ljubljana

When? 17:00

Story of the game: In the match of the 24th round in the AdmiralBet ABA League 2021/22 season, Cedevita Olimpija will be hosting Partizan NIS in the clash of two regional powerhouses, that will remember their rich history in the legendary Tivoli Sports Hall.

It will be a clash of two squads that might meet again this season - in the AdmiralBet ABA League Playoffs – and the one, where both of them will remember their glorious history in which they have combined 10 trophies in the Yugoslavian National League. It will be a game, in which both Cedevita Olimpija and Partizan NIS will play in the retro jerseys from their most successful Yugoslav eras.

Both squads are heading into this game firmly positioned inside of the Playoffs Zone – Partizan NIS on the top with the record of 19:3, while Cedevita Olimpija are currently occupying the fourth place with the record of 14:7.

It’s clear how important winning in this clash will be for both squads, as Partizan NIS are still fighting for the first place in the standings, while Cedevita Olimpija are chasing a position in the Top 3. Both of them need to win in order to stay in their race, but only one can do it.

Which team would that be? Difficult to tell, as they are both on a winning streak right now. While Cedevita Olimpija have won 5 games in a row in the regional competition, Partizan NIS have won 6.

The Dragons have beaten the Steamroller on the road in Belgrade the first time that the two sides have met. Can the black and white come up with a revenge?

Match-up in focus: Jacob Pullen or Kevin Punter? Two fantastic sharp-shooters will meet one-another in Tivoli and it will be a clash that might decide the flow of the game. While Punter is currently the top scorer at Partizan NIS, averaging 11.3 points per game, Pullen is the second-leading scorer of Cedevita Olimpija with an average of 13.9 points per game. Who will come out on top?

Head to head in the regional league: in total 3:2; In Ljubljana 2:0.
