EC: Cedevita Olimpija prevailed over Budućnost VOLI

In the 17th round of the EuroCup season, Cedevita Olimpija have edged out Valencia Basket at home in Stožice Arena, while Budućnost VOLI suffered home defeat by JL Bourg.

In Stožice Arena, Cedevita Olimpija remained on the winning track, as they met with Valencia Basket and after a dramatic ending, managed to knock down the Spanish powerhouse. The Dragons have started the game in an excellent manner and have been in front by 13 points by halftime. In the second time, the visiting side managed to cut the gap, but not to also turn the game completely upside-down. Cedevita Olimpija celebrated an 82:76 win. For the hosts, Zoran Dragić led the way in scoring with 17 points, while Jaka Blažič was the one to follow him with 13.

Budućnost VOLI suffered home defeat by JL Bourg, even though they have opened the game better than their opponents, as they were ahead by 3 points after the opening quarter and by 2 at halftime. In the third quarter, the French side turned things completely upside-down and took control of the game, leading by 5 points after 30 minutes. The squad, led from the bench by Aleksandar Džikić fought back in the final quarter, but just did not manage to grab a win. JL Bourg celebrated a triumph with the final score of 75:73. For Budućnost VOLI, Justin Cobbs scored 14 points, while Kendrick Perry added 12.

Partizan NIS do not have any game scheduled for this EuroCup Round, due to disqualification of Lokomotiv Kuban, so their game was suspended.
