Crvena zvezda mts suffered a shocking defeat on the road against Zalgiris Kaunas in postponed game of Round 21 of the 2021/22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season.

Crvena zvezda mts suffered a shocking defeat on the road against Zalgiris Kaunas in postponed game of Round 21 of the 2021/22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season.

The red-and-whites blew a 5-point lead in the last 15 seconds of the 4th quarter as they let Zalgiris Kaunas score two three-pointers to force overtime.

Zvezda were up by 87:82 and it seemed that the visitors would clinch the win, however then Arturas Milaknis scored a 3-pointer for Zalgiris Kaunas to reduce the gap to 2 points – 87:85, while after Dejan Davidovac scored just 1 out of 2 free throws for Crvena zvezda mts – 88:85, Zalgiris Kaunas forward Tyler Cavanaugh scored a 3-pointer at the 4th quarter buzzer to force overtime – 88:88.

In the additional 5 minutes the home team used the good momentum to take over the lead and eventually to win the game.
