Game recap: Borac have defeated Zlatibor at home court in Game 1 of the 2022 ABA League Qualifiers.

The Čačak crew had a flying start as they scored no less than 27 points already in the opening quarter to gain a double-digit lead – 27:14. And the home team have stayed in front until the end.

Zlatibor did manage to reduce the margin to a single digit and to come close to their rivals couple of times during the game, however Borac have successfully repelled all attempts of Zlatibor to take over the lead.

Game 2 of this best-of-3 series will be played on Wednesday, May 4 in Zlatibor.

Key moments: Borac had an 18-point lead in the 4^th quarter, however it turned out that they got relaxed too soon. Zlatibor scored some 3-pointers to regain confidence and the visitors started malting the gap rapidly. And in the final minute of the game, Zlatibor managed to come just 3 points behind Borac – 83:80.

Still, as there was less than 20 seconds remaining on the game clock, the visiting side had to make a foul on Duda Sanadze, who made the 1^st free throw for 84:80, while after missing the second one Borac squad made the key offensive rebound to keep the ball in their possession. After that, Duda Sanadze made one more free throw to make the final score – 85:80.

Man of the match: Marko Pecarski was the key man for Borac in today’s game. This 22-year-old power forward scored 23 points and he was the game top scorer.
