More than 60 current and former AdmiralBet ABA League players to participate at 2022 FIBA EuroBasket

The 2022 FIBA EuroBasket officially begins this Thursday with 5 national teams from our region trying to reach the European glory.

The 2022 FIBA EuroBasket officially begins this Thursday with 5 national teams from our region trying to reach the European glory. 

Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and defending champions Slovenia will participate at the tournament, while we all hope that some of them may reach the Final like five years ago when Slovenia and Serbia played for the precious trophy.

The group stage will be played in four different countries, including Germany, Italy, the Czech Republic and Georgia, while the final phase of the tournament will be played in Berlin, Germany.

AdmiralBet ABA League will have lots of its representatives down on the court as 20 players, who are still playing in our league, will take part in this year’s EuroBasket.

Aleksa Ilić, Zoran Vučeljić, Vladimir Mihailović, Nikola Pavlićević, Zoran Nikolić, Igor Drobnjak, Petar Popović (Montenegro), Edo Murić, Zoran Dragić (Slovenia), Edin Atić, Kenan Kamenjaš, Sani Čampara, Aleksandar Lazić (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Lovro Gnjidić, Karlo Matković, Dominik Mavra (Croatia), Nemanja Nedović, Marko Jagodić Kuridža (Serbia), Duda Sanadze (Georgia), Ioannis Papapetrou (Greece), Yam Madar (Israel).

On top of that, there will be more than 40 players at the tournament who used to play in AdmiralBet ABA League at some point of their careers. Combined, that's more than 60 current and former AdmiralBet ABA League players who will participate at this year's FIBA EuroBasket.

Group A: Montenegro, Georgia, Spain, Bulgaria, Belgium, Turkey

Group B: Germany Hungary, Slovenia, Lithuania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, France

Group C: Greece, Estonia, Ukraine, Great Britain, Italy, Croatia

Group D: Netherlands, Finland, Poland, Czech Republic, Israel, Serbia

The top 4 teams from each group will advance to the next round.
