EuroBasket 2022: Victories for Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Slovenia

Serbia keep perfect record after two games played at the EuroBasket 2022, as they have prevailed over Czech Republic in Prague for their second win. The Serbia squad were on top throughout the game and in the end fully deservedly prevailed with the score of 81:68. For Serbia, Nikola Jokić was on top of the list of scorers with 18 points. Vasilije Micić added 13.

Just like Serbia, Slovenia too is on a perfect record with two rounds into the EuroBasket 2022. After prevailing over Lithuania in Round 1, they have now beaten Hungary in Round 2 and scored their second victory of the tournament. The reigning European champions have dominated the court all game long, led by 13 points already after the opening quarter and later calmly cruised towards the win with the final score of 103:88. Luka Dončić was the top scorer of Slovenia with 20 points on his record, while Klemen Prepelič added 14.

Montenegro faced Belgium in their second appearance at the championship and after losing their first clash against Turkey, they bounced back this time, with a win with the final score of 76:70, after they have been in front throughout the game, during which it seemed on several occasions that the win itself could be even more convincing in the end. For the winning side, Bojan Dubljević had 21 points, while Kendrick Perry added 19.

In Milan, Croatia have grabbed their first triumph of the EuroBasket 2022 tournament, after suffering first round defeat by Greece. They have faced Great Britain and put on a dominant display, that earned them an 86:65 win in the end. Bojan Bogdanović, Dario Šarić and Ivica Zubac were the most efficient for the winning side, as they scored 15 points apiece.

In Cologne, Bosnia and Herzegovina faced the hosts of the tournament Germany and suffered their first defeat. After a first half, in which BiH prevailed by 5 points, Germany turned the game completely upside-down in the third quarter, leading by 12 points after 30 minutes of play. In the end, the score was 92:82 in favour of Germany. For Bosnia and Herzegovina, Džanan Musa led the way in scoring with 30 points on his record, while Jusuf Nurkić had 21.
