Presenting the 2022/23 AdmiralBet ABA League teams – Cedevita Olimpija

The Dragons made some major changes over the summer in their roster with a clear goal to make a step forward after a season in which they were one win away from the AdmiralBet ABA League Finals.

Cedevita Olimpija had a turbulent last season in which there were many ups and downs, but the main impressions about the previous year was that the fans have finally returned to Stožice Arena in large numbers and that basketball was once again topic number one in Ljubljana when speaking about sports.

The record single-game attendance in the previous AdmiralBet ABA League season was recorded in Stožice Arena for Game 2 of the semi-finals series between Cedevita Olimpija and Crvena zvezda mts and the club definitely need that kind of support in their mission of brining the regional trophy back to Ljubljana.

Cedevita Olimpija did make several big changes in their roster, but before we start speaking about the players let’s say that Jurica Golemac remained the first team head coach and that he is about to start his 4^th consecutive season with the Dragons.

Golemac stayed without several important first team players like Jaka Blažič, Jacob Pullen and Zach Auguste, but the club has secured some big signings to make sure the squad remains very strong. Cedevita Olimpija has so far penned deals with Karlo Matković, Lovro Gnjidić, Marko Jeremić, Amar Alibegović, Jan Kosi, Josh Adams and Aaron Harrison and each of them can play an important role in the season in front of us.

Also, Cedevita Olimpija made sure to keep some of the team leaders from the previous season like Yogi Ferrell, Alen Omić, Zoran Dragić and Edo Murić.

Together, they form a very respectable roster that can beat any team in the league. And who knows, maybe this group of players return the House of the Dragon to the regional throne after so many years.
