Former MZT Skopje power forward Juan Davis pens deal with Zadar

Zadar announced that they have added one more player to their 2022/23 roster as they penned deal with former MZT Skopje Aerodrom power forward Juan Davis.

The two sides signed a contract until the end of 2022 with an option to extend it until the end of the 2022/23 season.

Davis spent the previous season in MZT Skopje Aerodrom and he played an important role in club’s journey back to AdmiralBet ABA League. Davis helped the Skopje side win the promotion to the top tier of the regional basketball by averaging 9.6 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.

Before his one-year stint in MZT Skopje Aerodrom, Davis played for Finish teams Raholan Pyrkiva, BC Nokia and Kauhajoki, while he also spent one season in Dutch side Feyenoord.

“After the tournament in France, the coaching staff determined that we need one more player who can cover power forward and center positions. Taking into concern our budget for the following season, we have decided to sign a contract with Juan Davis until the end of the year, but with an option to extend that contract until the end of the season,” said Zadar Sports Director Denis Pleslić.

Juan Davis novi je igrač Zadra

Zadnje pojačanje u rosteru KK Zadar za sezonu 2022/23 je Juan Davis! Davis je prošle godine igrao u redovima MZT Skopja, a za makedonski klub ubacivao je 9.6 koševa i hvatao je 5.3 skoka u NLB ABA 2 ligi. Juan je visok 203 centimetara te igra na poziciji krilnog centra i centra.

Profesionalnu karijeru započeo je u Finskoj gdje je igrao dvije sezone od čega je najbolji prosjek imao u redovima Raholan Pyrkiva gdje je zabijao 22.6 koševa i hvatao 14.3 skoka po utakmici. Nakon toga prešao je u nizozemski Zeeuw & Zeeuw Feyenoord, a sveučilišnu košarku igrao je na Alabami u Troy Trojansima.

Ugovor s Amerikancem potpisan je do kraja kalendarske godine s opcijom produljenja do kraja sezone.
