Presenting the 2022/23 AdmiralBet ABA League teams – Mornar-Barsko zlato

Some brand new Mornar-Barsko zlato squad will try to repeat what the previous orange-and-blue teams did back in 2018 and 2021… They will try to help the club reach the regional league Playoffs for the 3^rd time in history.

The last season was something Mornar-Barsko zlato won’t really want to remember as they finished at the 9^th place and pretty far away from the Playoffs spots. That is why the club decided to make some big changes in their roster over the summer.

Mornar-Barsko zlato legendary head coach Mihailo Pavićević, who will lead this team for the 6th consecutive season, selected only a few last-season players to remain in the team, including fans' favorite Nemanja Vranješ, then Vladimir Mihailović, Milija Miković and three youngsters Marko Vesković, Balša Živanović and Vladimir Marljukić.

All the other members of the 2022/23 roster are the newcomers.

The Bar troops signed Petar Vujačić from Rogaška and Marko Kovačević from Podgorica as their first summer transfers, while after that they penned deals with Daron Russell (University of Maryland), who’s been putting up some stunning perfomances during the preseason, then with Cheikh Mbacke Diong (UFC Knights), Antonio Vranković (Pardubice), Luka Ščuka (Cedevita Olimpija) and Marko Pecarski (Borac).

Looking down at their current roster you will notice that Mornar-Barsko zlato have much younger team than in the previous seasons and that is why it will be very interesting to see them in action when the 2022/23 campaign officially begins.

Can they make it to the top 8 teams and reach the Playoffs? No one knows at this moment, but be quite sure that the boys from Bar will have a big role to play in the season in front of us.
