The second round of the 2022/23 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague is scheduled for this week and the two Belgrade giants are facing new European challenges.

Crvena zvezda mts and Partizan Mozzart Bet both suffered defeats in the opening round, but each of them is confident that now is the time for the first win of the season.

Crvena zvezda mts will play their game on Thursday evening and their opponent in Belgrade will be Greek powerhouse Panathinaikos. It is expected that the fans will fill the Aleksandar Nikolić Sports Hall to the very last place as this is the first home game for Crvena zvezda mts in the new EuroLeague season, while on top of that the home crowd will certainly want to make a warm welcome to the club legendary head coach Dejan Radonjić who is now the head coach of Panathinaikos Athens. Dejan Radonjić has won numerous trophies with Crvena zvezda mts, while the fans still remember the last season in which Radonjić and his troops won the AdmiralBet ABA League in super dramatic final against their arch rivals Partizan Mozzart Bet.

Speaking about Partizan Mozzart Bet, they will once again play on the road as they are heading toward Spain to face Baskonia on Friday evening. The black-and-whites did lose the away game against Alba Berlin in the opening round, but after that they scored another convincing win in AdmiralBet ABA League to boost the team morale and they are now approaching this match highly confident that they may seize the first win of the season.
