Game recap: FMP Meridian have kept the perfect score in the 2022/23 season after prevailing over Split in Belgrade this Monday evening.

The Panthers could not have wished for a better start of this year’s AdmiralBet ABA League  campaign. After beating Mega MIS and Borac Mozzart, the boys coached by Nenad Stefanović defeated Split to remain perfect and keep marching toward another Playoffs appearance.

While there are lot of reasons for celebration in FMP Meridian crew, the current situation in Split is not that bright, although they did present quite a decent performance in Belgrade tonight. Still, this was the 3^rd consecutive defeat for the yellow-and-black who are among the four teams with the overall score of 0-3.

Key moments: FMP Meridian faced a very good Split this evening in Belgrade and the hosts had some troubles while attempting to get in front in the first half. But, in the 3^rd quarter, the Panthers definitely broke the shield of the visiting side. FMP Meridian won the 3^rd period by 26:17 to gain a 16-point lead – 72:56 and escape on a safe distance.

Man of the match: In the preview for this game we wrote that Trent Frazier might make some real noise this weekend. And we were right. FMP Meridian point guard recorded his first double-double in the season with 21 points and 11 assists, while his overall index rating was 31.

Can’t trick the stats: This was simply not the best shooting night for Split as the visitors scored just 3 three-pointers for the entire game. That is simply not enough to beat the last-season Playoffs participant.
