In the opening five rounds of the AdmiralBet ABA League, the ABA League j.t.d. Referees Commission has established errors of the referees in two games, that have resulted in under-average marks.

Round 4, Borac Mozzart – Zadar 91:93 (83:83)

With 12.7 seconds left in the overtime, when the score was 91:92, the referee made a call of an offensive foul to the Borac Mozzart Nemanja Todorović, who made a contact with a player of Zadar Karlo Žganec, after a rebound.

This has not been a good decision. The Referees Commission has established, that there has been no ground for an offensive foul, given that there has not been enough intensity in the contact of the players, and also that there has been an exaggerated reaction of the defensive player.

Round 5, Zadar – Split (74:76)

The last shot attempt in the game, at the score of 74:76, was made by Zadar player Sani Čampara, from beyond the 3-point arc. After the ball left the hands of Čampara, and after he landed on the floor, due to an incautious move by Split player Josip Jukić, a contact has occurred between him and Zadar player in the moment, when 0:07 seconds has remained until the end of the playing time.

The official did not award a personal foul in this situation. This has been a wrong decision. The Referees Commission has established, that a personal foul should have been given to the Split player Josip Jukić and that the referees should have awarded 2 (two) free throws to Sani Čampara, given that the personal foul did not occur during the shot, but after the Zadar player landed on the floor and therefore ended his shooting movement.
