North Macedonia is just a step away from securing their spot in the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket Qualifiers as they defeated Denmark at home in overtime thriller to keep the perfect score in Group D.

The hero of the winning side was T.J. Shorts who scored 33 points, including some big buckets late in the 4th quarter and then in overtime.

North Macedonia now have the overall score of 4-0 and they need just one more win to definitely seal the 1st place in the group.

Meanwhile in Zagreb, Croatia lost a very important home game against Poland and therefore dropped the top spot in Group E. Poland scored 7 three-pointers in the 4th quarter to make the final push toward the win, while they also managed to win this game by more than 3 points, which brought them a better head-to-head score against Croatia.

Therefore, in order to reclaim the top spot and win the promotion to the next stage, Croatia need to have one more win than Poland in the remaining two rounds of the 2025 FIBA EuroBasket Pre-Qualifiers.
