BCL: Igokea m:tel score a huge road win against Surne Bilbao

Igokea m:tel have scored their 2nd win in the 2022/23 Basketball Champions League regular season as they defeated Surne Bilbao on the road in Round 4.

Igokea m:tel have scored their 2nd win in the 2022/23 Basketball Champions League regular season as they defeated Surne Bilbao on the road in Round 4.

Igokea m:tel have therefore become the first team to beat Surne Bilbao in the ongoing season, while the boys from Laktaši now share the 2nd place in the group with Bahcesehir College as both sides have the overall score of 2-2. Surne Bilbao are still at the first place with the overall score of 3-1, while ERA Nymburk are at the last place at the moment with the score of 1-3.

As far as today’s game is concerned, Igokea m:tel made the key 22:3 run that started 2 minutes before the end of the 3rd quarter and ended on 6 minutes before the end of the 4th period to gain an 18-point lead - 78:60. Yet, Surne Bilbao almost made a miraculous comeback as the home team reduced the gap to just 4 points – 82:78, with more than a minute remaining on the game clock. Surne Bilbao even had a chance to cut Igokea m:tel’s lead to just a single point, but, luckily for the Laktaši troops, Emir Sulejmanović missed his 3-point shot.
