EL: Emporio Armani end Zvezda’s winning streak

Crvena zvezda mts suffered a narrow defeat at home against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan in Round 14 of the 2022/23 Turkish Arlines EuroLeague season.

The Belgrade team did not play well in the 1^st half in which they let the visiting side gain a 14-point lead – 43:29. Yet, the red-and-whites have once again showed that they are never going to surrender that easily. Zvezda have improved their defense significantly in the 2^nd half and they were on the verge of miraculous comeback as they reduced the gap to just 2 points – 66:64, with just over a minute left on the game clock.

However, then Crvena zvezda mts former player Billy Baron stepped up for EA7 Emporio Armani Milan. Baron scored the key 3-pointer to give the Italian side a 5-point lead (69:64) and the visitors have managed to stay in front until the end.

Crvena zvezda mts have therefore suffered their first defeat after 6 consecutive wins in Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, while their current overall score is 7-7.
