TFT comeback from a 15-point deficit to get their first win of the season after defeating Podgorica in overtime. TFT Skopje improve to 1-5 in the 2022/2023 NLB ABA League 2 regular season while Podgorica drops to a 2-4 record.
Podgorica controlled the game for about three quarters, building up a big 15-point lead in the first half. During the third quarter, Podgorica continued to keep TFT Skopje at a distance, controlling the lead and having a 12-point advantage heading into the final quarter.
In the fourth quarter, TFT Skopje made a crucial 10:2 run to cut the Podgorica lead down to 1 heading into the final five minutes of regulation. The final five minutes were rather back and forth, no team was able to build a comfortable lead and TFT Skopje forced overtime. In the overtime period, no team could pull away significantly enough, after a tight game and an exciting finish, TFT Skopje walked away with their first win of the season.
Aleksandar Kostoski had a monster game to help his team get the win, he finished the night with 28 points, 9 assists, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and a 40 valuation rating. Mladen Vujić led the way for Podgorica, scoring 22 points along with 9 rebounds and a 24 valuation rating.
