Crvena zvezda Meridianbet and Partizan Mozzart Bet are in front of very important road games that may have huge impact on the race for the top 8.
Partizan Mozzart Bet will play against Valencia Basket on Thursday evening. Recall that these two teams played a thrilling game in Belgrade in the first part of the season in which Valencia Basket eventually prevailed in overtime - 100:96. Now, both sides are awaiting this duel with the overall score of 9-10 and with just one win less than the teams who share the 8th place on the standings.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet is one of those teams who share the 8th place on the standings at the moment with the overall score of 10-9, while this Friday evening they will have a direct battle for the Playoffs against Lithuanian side Zalgiris Kaunas.
Currently, Zalgiris have one more win than Zvezda, but if the red-and-whites triumph in Kaunas then they will not just tie with Lithuanian side, but they will also have a better head-to-head score as in the first part of the season the boys coached by Duško Ivanović defeated their Lithuanian rivals by 77:73.
Meanwhile in 7Days EuroCup, Budućnost VOLI and Cedevita Olimpija will both play their games at home court on Wednesday evening.
Budućnost VOLI (6-4) will host last placed team in Group B Slask Wroclaw (1-9) and it will be a nice chance for the Podgorica side to grab their second win in a row in this competition and make another big step toward securing their spot in the next phase.
Cedevita Olimpija (2-8) are in a must-win situation this week as they will host U-BT Cluj-Napoca (3-7). The Dragons just have to win this game in order to escape the last place in Group A and increase their chances of reaching the next stage of the competition.
