EL: Crvena zvezda Meridianbet defeated in close game in Kaunas

Crvena zvezda Meridianbet have been defeated in the 20th round of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague season and this time they have suffered a loss on the road in Kaunas against Žalgiris. The red and white are now on a 10:10 record after 20 rounds and their Playoffs chances are still looking fair.

The Lithuanian side were the ones to open the game better, as they were in front by 6 points after first quarter and by 8 at halftime. Crvena zvezda Meridianbet prevailed in the third quarter alone with the score of 26:12 and turned the game completely upside-down, leading by 6 points while entering the final quarter. However, Žalgiris made a comeback late in the game and eventually prevailed with the final score of 71:66.

For the squad, led from the bench by head coach Duško Ivanović, Filip Petrušev led the way in scoring with 16 points on his record. Nemanja Nedović contributed 11.
