Bosnia and Herzegovina have defeated Montenegro at home to keep their chances of making it to the 2023 FIBA World Cup – 74:66.

Bosnia and Herzegovina made the key 6:0 run in the last minute to secure their victory tonight, yet the 8-point margin at the end of the game puts Montenegro in a better position in front of the final round of the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers.

The two sides now have the same overall score (6-5) and they are sharing the 3rd place in Group K, but despite losing this game, Montenegro managed to keep a better head-to-head score against Bosnia and Herzegovina as in their previous clash the Montenegrin team triumphed by 88:69.

Therefore, if Montenegro win the last-round home game against Czech Republic, they will win the 3rd place in the group and seal their spot at the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

On the other side, Bosnia and Herzegovina must win their away game against Hungary and hope that Montenegro will lose their game against Czech Republic in order to clinch the 3rd place in the group and get the ticket for the World Cup.
