Game recap: In the opening game of the Sunday’s AdmiralBet ABA League schedule, Mega MIS have made another step towards the Playoffs, as they have prevailed over MZT Skopje Aerodrom at home in Belgrade. For the Belgrade side, this is the third win in a row and fourth in the last five games and with a record of 10:11 after 21 rounds, they are now in a favourable position in the battle for the Playoffs, where everything is up to them. On the other side, MZT Skopje Aerodrom continue their season with a 4:16 record, in the last spot in the standings and they need to urgently start winning again in order to increase their chances of avoiding relegation to the NLB ABA League 2.

Key moments: It was MZT Skopje Aerodrom that opened the game in a better fashion, as they have been in front by 5 points at the end of the first quarter (22:27). Mega MIS have turned the clash completely upside-down in th second quarter with an 11:3 run between 12th and 14th minute of the game, which put them up by 2 points (37:35). They did not stop there and kept increasing their advantage, which amounted 12 points (55:42) in the 22nd minute. It turned out that this was crucial for the outcome of the game, as MZT Skopje Aerodrom did not manage to threaten to turn it around again all until the end.

Man of the match: Nikola Đurišić was the driving force behind the success of Mega MIS this time, as he led them towards the win with game-high 20 points, while adding 5 rebounds, just as many assists, 1 steal, and a valuation of 26 to his record.

Can’t trick the stats: Mega MIS were shooting 54% from the field and MZT Skopje Aerodrom 45%. This has, despite MZT’s dominance in rebounding, steals and turnovers, helped them grab a new win this time.
