U18 Mega MIS win the Belgrade’s tournament and qualify for the ANGT Finals

U18 Mega MIS defeated U18 Crvena zvezda mts by 80:79 to win the EuroLeague Adidas Next Generation Tournament in Belgrade and qualify for the 2023 EuroLeague Adidas Next Generation Final Tournament that will be held in Kaunas during the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four.

In a truly epic final match, U18 Mega MIS prevailed over U18 Crvena zvezda mts in overtime, while the game hero turned out to be U18 Mega MIS player Danilo Dožić who grabbed the key offensive rebound and scored the game-winning 2-pointer, just 9 seconds before the end of the match.

In the remaining time, U18 Crvena zvezda mts player Andrej Lučić missed a 3-point shot at the buzzer and U18 Mega MIS clinched the trophy.

U18 Mega MIS have therefore joined U18 Real Madrid, U18 Joventut Badalona and U18 FC Barcelona who have already booked their tickets for the 2023 EuroLeague Adidas Next Generation Final Tournament. The remaining 4 spots at the Final Tournament will be assigned through wild cards, which means that some other teams from our region might still get their place in Kaunas.

Recall that apart from U18 Mega MIS, two more teams from our region participated at the ANGT Belgrade tournament, including U18 Crvena zvezda mts and U18 Partizan, while before that U18 Zadar and U19 Cedevita Olimpija played at the ANGT Zadar Tournament.
