Damir Šolman passed away at the age of 74

The ABA family is deeply saddened to hear that Split legend Damir Šolman has passed away at the age of 74.

One of the players with the highes number of trophies, won in the jersey of Jugoplastika Split and a former member of Yugoslavia Senior National Team, has passed away after a long illness at his age of 74.

The former player, born in Zagreb, used to be the top scorer of Jugoplastika, today known as Split, with 5.783 points scored. He played in the Final of the Cup Winners Cup in 1972/73 season, while he won the FIBA Korać Cup in the seasons 1975/76 and 1976/77.

With Yugoslavia National Team, he won one gold and one silver medal at the FIBA World Cup Turnaments (1970 and 1974), two Olympic silver medals (1968 and 1976) and 2 gold medals at EuroBasket tournaments (1973 and 1975).
