Amadou Sow signed with Cedevita Olimpija

The senior team of Cedevita Olimpija has strengthened its frontcourt with Malian player Amadou Sow, who is moving to Stožice in Ljubljana from the French national championship, where he wore the Blois jersey in the 2022/23 season. Born in Segou, Mali, Sow studied at the University of California, Santa Barbara and graduated from Napa Christian High School before that. 

Cedevita Olimpija thus introduced the third reinforcement of this summer, and Sow will join newcomers Justus Hollatz and Alexander Shashkov in the Dragon's Lair. 

After four years in the jersey of the Gaucos from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Amadou Sow spent the 2022/23 season in the jersey of the French team Blois, where he used to average 13.8 points in 32 games, 5.2 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game, while shooting 53.8 percent from the field and 41.9 percent from three points in the French National Championship. 

"What's up Dragon fans! I'm extremelly excited to join the team for the next season. Let's get to work!" said Sow upon joining Cedevita Olimpija.

Dres Zmajev bo nosil Amadou Sow 

Iz francoske lige se v ljubljansko Cedevito Olimpije seli 206 centimetrov visoki Amadou Sow, ki je sezono 2022/23 preživel v Bloisu. 

Člansko moštvo Cedevite Olimpije je na visokih igralnih položajih močnejše za malijskega košarkarja Amadoua Sowa, ki se v ljubljanske Stožice seli iz francoskega državnega prvenstva, kjer je v sezoni 2022/23 nosil dres Bloisa. Sow, sicer rojen v Segouu na Maliju, je študiral na Univerzi v Kaliforniju v Santa Barbari, pred tem pa je maturiral na srednji šoli Napa Christian. 

Cedevita Olimpija je tako predstavil tretjo okrepitev letošnjega poletja, Sow pa se bo v Zmajevem gnezdu pridružil novincema Justusu Hollatzu in Aleksandru Šaškovu. 

Po štirih letih, ki jih je preživel v dresu ameriške kolidž ekipe Gaucos iz Univerze v Kaliforniji v Santa Barbari, je Amadou Sow sezono 2022/23 prebil v dresu francoske ekipe Blois, kjer je na 32 tekmah v povprečju dosegal 13,8 točke, 5,2 skoka in 1,1 asistence na tekmo, obenem pa iz igre metal 53,8-odstotno ter za tri točke 41,9-odstotno. 

"Navdušen sem, da sem se pridružil Cedeviti Olimpiji pred začetkom prihodnje sezone. Komaj čakam, da začnemo z delom," je ob podpisu pogodbe z ljubljanskim klubom povedal Sow.
