With another thrilling season behind us, it's time to see which individual and team records were achieved over the past year.
Individual season achievements:
The 2022/23 regular season MVP Luka Božić (Zadar) has set several records over the past year. His 866 index points collected in the 2022/23 regular season is the all-time record for the most index points collected in a single season. Also, his average index rating (32.07) is also the new record for the highest average index rating achieved in a single season.
On top of that, Božić has become the first team to make 500+ points, 200+ rebounds and 100+ assists in a single season. Luka finished the last season with 586 points, 258 rebounds and 170 assists.
Božić's 586 points scored in the last season is the 2nd best score ever recorded in a single season, Only Josip Sesar (588 points) scored more points than Božić in one season. Hunter Hale is holding the 3rd place on this list with 580 points scored in the previous season.
Also, Božić’s 258 rebounds in the previous season is the 4th best single-season score in AdmiralBet ABA League history.
At the same time, Alen Omić (Cedevita Olimpija) has made it to the 3rd place on this list with 271 rebounds, also in the last season. Dejan Milojević still holds the all time record with 281 rebounds grabbed in a single season.
Marko Pecarski (Mornar-Barsko zlato) set the new record for most offensive rebounds grabbed in a single season. Pecarski grabbed 112 offensive rebounds in the previous season and therefore broke the record of former Partizan Mozzart Bet player Nikola Milutinov who had 104 offensive rebounds in one season.
It is also worth mentioning that Alen Omić (Cedevita Olimpija) tied Milutinov’s score with 104 offensive rebounds made in the past season.
Dominik Mavra (Split) was the top passer of the previous season with 182 assists and that is the 5th best single-season score in league history. Former Cibona player Jarel Blassingame holds the record with 216 assists made in a single season.
Let's get back to Luka Božić (Zadar) for a moment as he averaged 9,56 rebounds per game in the last season, which is the 5th best single-season score. Boris Savović is the record holder in this category with 11,44 rebounds per season.
Daron Russell (ex-Mornar-Barsko zlato) averaged 26,8 points per game in the previous season which is the 2nd best single-season score in league history. The top place is in possession of former Crvena zvezda Meridianbet player Milan Gurović who averaged 28.6 points in a single season.
With 7,28 assists per game, Dominik Mavra (Split) achieved the 7th best single-season score of all time in AdmiralBet ABA League. Right behind him is Daron Russell (ex-Mornar-Barsko zlato) with 7,27 assists per game, while the top place in this category is still in possession of former Koper Primorska player Žan Mark Šiško with 9,91 assists per game.
Karlo Matković (Cedevita Olimpija) finished the last season with FG% of 72,8% which is the 5th best single-season score in league history. Robert Rikić holds the all-time record with FG% of 74,29%.
For the end, we must not neglect the achievement of Fletcher Magee (ex-SC Derby) who scored 79 three-pointers in the previous season and therefore tied the all-time record from the 2007/08 season when Omar Cook also scored 79 three-pointers.
Team records:
Cedevita Olimpija made 27 offensive rebounds in Game 1 of the semi-final series against Partizan Mozzart Bet, which is the all-time league record for the most team offensive rebounds made in a single game. The previous record was in possession of Radnički Kragujevac who had 26 team offensive rebounds.
Partizan Mozzart Bet had 41/55 from field goals (74,55%) in Round 15 of the previous season and that is the best FG% ever recorded in a single AdmiralBet ABA League game. The previous record was 73,91% achieved by Cibona back in 2003.
Speaking about this game, Partizan Mozzart Bet was shooting 13/17 for 3 points (76,47%) which is the 5th best single-game FG3% score in league history.
One more thing abut this game. Partizan Mozzart Bet's win against MZT Skopje Aerodrom by a 53-point margin is the 3rd biggest-margin win in league history. Partizan Mozzart Bet hold the all-time record in this category with a 60-point margin win.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet made 32 assists in Round 24 of the 2022/23 season and therefore tied the 4th best single-game score. Interesting enough, Zvezda share the all-time record in this category with 34 assists made in a single game back in 2003. The other record holder is Mega MIS who made 34 assists in one game in the 2021/22 season.
Partizan Mozzart Bet made 46 field goals in Round 13 of the last season and therefore tied the 2nd best single-game score in league history. Split hold the record with 47 field goals made in a single game (achieved in the 2003/04 season).
Cedevita Olimpija and Crvena zvezda Meridianet both scored per 19 three-pointers in a single game in the last season and therefore tied the 3rd best single-game score. Cedevita hold the record with 23 three-pointers made in a single game.
Crvena zvezda Meridianbet’s win against Budućnost VOLI in Game 2 of the 2022/23 semi-finals by a 41-point margin tied the 4th best score when it comes to the biggest-margin win by an away team. At the same time, it is the biggest-margin win by an away team when it comes to the Playoffs/Final Tournaments games.
Playoffs records:
Kevin Punter (Partizan Mozzart Bet) scored 32 points in Game 5 of the 2023 AdmiralBet ABA League Finals and therefore set the new all-time record for the most points scored in a single game of the Finals.
Alen Omić (Cedevita Olimpija) had 17 rebounds in Game 1 of the semi-final series against Partizan Mozzart Bet and therefore tied the all-time single-game Playoffs/Final Tournaments record that was previously set by Milan Mačvan in 2015.
Partizan Mozzart Bet scored 17 three-pointers in Game 3 od the quarter-final series against SC Derby and therefore set the new single-game Playoffs/Final Tournaments record.
FMP Soccerbet was shooting 13/20 for 3 points (65%) in Game 2 of the quarter-finals series against Cedevita Olimpija and that is the all-time record for the best FG3% in a single Playoffs/Final Tournaments game. The previous record was in possession of Cibona who had FG3% of 58,33% back in 2006.
