Makol Mawien is the 3rd newcomer to join Mornar-Barsko zlato this summer
Mornar-Barsko zlato have continued forming the team for the 2023/24 season, while their latest signing is 27-year-old center Makol Mawien.

Mornar-Barsko zlato have continued forming the team for the 2023/24 season, while their latest signing is 27-year-old center Makol Mawien.
Mawien spent the previous season in Bulgarian team Chernomorets where he averaged 12 points, 8.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
Before that, Mawien played for several other European clubs, including Levski Lukoil, Kipina Basket, Zaporizhye and KB Rahoveci.
Makol Mawien studied at the Kansas State University and he played for the Kansas State Wildcats in the NCAA from 2017 to 2020, when he decided to move to Europe to start his pro career.
Recall that Mornar-Barsko zlato have so far acquired three new players, including Jamal Johnson (Chattanooga Mocs), Dwight Murray Jr. (Rider Broncos) and Makol Mawien (Chernomorets).

Treće pojačanje "Ponosa Bara" za novu sezonu je centar Makol Mawien (27 god, 207cm), koji ima državljanstvo Južnog Sudana a rođen je u Kairu (Egipat).
Minule sezone igrao je za bugarski Černomorec i bilježio prosječno po utakmici 12 poena, 8,9 skokova i 1,3 asistencije. Prije Černomoreca nosio je dres ukrajinskog Zaporožja iz kojeg je otišao zbog ratnih dešavanja i kratko bio član Rakovecija. U Evropi je igrao još za Levski i Kipina Basket.
Tri godine igrao je u NCAA ligi za Kansas state wildcats.
