#FIBAWC: Serbia and Slovenia finish the first round undefeated

Serbia put up a big win against South Sudan to finish the first round of the #FIBAWC undefeated.

Serbia put up an impressive performance against South Sudan (83:115) to enter the second round of the #FIBAWC on the right note. In the first half, Serbia built a big lead heading into the break holding a 17-point advantage (39:56). In the second half they did not let up, Serbia continued to build their lead to ensure the win did not come into question. 

Fantastic performances from Bogdan Bogdanović, Nikola Jović, and Nikola Milutinov led Serbia to an impressive win. Bogdanović finished the game with 23 points and 9 assists, Jović added 25 points on a perfect 9/9 shooting from the field while Milutinov finished the game with a double-double scoring 17 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. 

Slovenia advanced to the second round of the #FIBAWC without a loss in group F after they got the win against Cape Verde 92:77. In the first half Cape Verde put up a good fight against the 2017 European champions, heading into the the halftime break Slovenia held a 7-point lead (45:38). In the third quarter Slovenia managed to pull away with a double-digit lead which they would not let up until the end of the game. 

Luka Dončić had another good performance for his nation, he flirted with a triple-double scoring 19 points, 7 rebounds, and 9 assists, Klemen Prepelič put up 18 points along with 7 assists.
