In Group K, Slovenia have faced Australia and grabbed their fourth consecutive win of the tournament, thus staying undefetated. The EuroBasket 2017 champions have earned themselves a spot in the Quarterfinals, regardless of the score against Germany on Sunday. Slovenia have been in front throughout the game, having earned themselves a 10-point advantage (28:18) in the first quarter and afterwards keeping control of the game until the end, when the final score was 91:80 in their favour. Luka Dončić was atop of the list of scorers for the Slovenian side with 20 points scored, while Crvena zvezda Meridianbet big man Mike Tobey scored 18 points.

Serbia suffered their first defeat at the 2023 FIBA World Cup, as Italy made a victorious run late in the game, to grab an important win. After 20 minutes of play, Serbia have only been in front by 2 points (42:40), but then dominated the court in the third quarter, creating themselves a 16-point lead. However, the Italian squad did not give it up at that moment and have turned the game completely upside-down in the final quarter. For Serbia, Bogdan Bogdanović led the way in scoring with 18 points on his record. Nikola Milutinov added 14.

In Group J, Montenegro have demonstrated a brave performance this time, but it appeared that it just was not enough to prevail over the United States of America. At halftime, the Montenegrin side was even up 38:37, but in the end, the USA prevailed in a close game with the final score of 85:73. The most scoring efficient player of the Montengro squad was Nikola Vučević with 18 points, followed by Kendrick Perry, who had 14.
