#FIBAWC: Slovenia defeated in World Cup Quarterfinals
In the 2023 FIBA World Cup Quarterfinals, Slovenia have suffered a defeat by Canada and finished their chase for the World Cup trophy.

Slovenia will not play against Serbia in the 2023 FIBA World Cup Semifinals, as they have suffered a defeat by Canada in the Quarterfinals. The 2017 EuroBasket champions have finished the first half with a draw, but have allowed the Canadian side to pull away in the third quarter, which helped Canada to grab a convincing win in the end with the final score of 100:89.
For Slovenia, Luka Dončić scored 26 points and Klemen Prepelič had 22.
A day before, Serbia have outplayed Lithuania to advance to the Semifinals.
